Valentino

In the heart of Ravenna, on the first floor of the historic Casa dei Mutilati di Guerra on Piazza Kennedy, Valentino is a restaurant deeply rooted in the city’s history and its celebrated Byzantine mosaics. The kitchen is led by Chef Luca Magnani, and the dining room by Livia Dragomir—warm, attentive, and the welcoming soul of the experience. Their vision brings to the table an authentic cuisine of the Ravenna area, inspired by old-time recipes passed down from grandmothers, with a deep focus on the quality of ingredients and the local territory. Before they’re even tasted, dishes are meant to be admired—starting with anchovies dressed in a crisp, golden fry and served with house-made giardiniera. The menu celebrates land, seasons, and history—like the Portocorsinese fish stew, prepared according to the recipe deposited with the Accademia Italiana della Cucina.

Locations

Our location is part of the experience as much as the cuisine. The Salone dei Mosaici welcomes you with soft light and a natural elegance: warm materials, essential details, and a dining room designed for conversation and the pleasure of being at the table. It changes throughout the day—and especially through the evening—when reflections, volumes and tones become warmer with the lights and the first glasses poured. Each table feels intimate without rigid separations, with the right distance to be comfortable. Scroll through the images and step into the atmosphere: imagine an aperitivo that opens the dinner, the discreet sound of the room, a service that guides without interrupting, and time slowing down while the city stays outside. In the dining room, Livia makes every moment feel even more special with warmth and close attention to detail. Valentino is a place to feel good—whether for a special occasion or an ordinary evening made memorable.
